Polly Reese, DDS
Dr. Reese, inspired by her family’s healthcare background and her own athletic prowess, initially dreamed of becoming a pilot before realizing her true calling in dentistry. Encouraged by her father, who recognized her exceptional hand-eye coordination, Dr. Reese found her passion for making positive and lasting changes in people’s lives through dentistry.
She began her academic journey at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, where she earned a BA degree in 1982. Dr. Reese then pursued further studies at the University of Illinois, Chicago, obtaining a BS degree in 1983 and her DDS degree in 1986. Her commitment to continuous learning led her to complete an MBA from the Northwestern Kellogg Executive Program in 2002.
Throughout her career, Dr. Reese has been dedicated to advancing her education and skills and completed continuing education through The Huggins/Grube Protocol, focusing on biologic and holistic dentistry. Dr. Reese further honed her expertise at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies and the Los Angeles Institute for Esthetic Dentistry, where she mastered various aspects of functional aesthetic dentistry and occlusal disease management. She is also a CEREC Doctors Mentor and an active member of the Spear Education Study Group, participating in advanced courses on treating worn dentition, demistyfying occlusion, facially generated treatment planning, restorative design, CEREC 1, 2 and 3 training and esthetic techniques.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Reese’s passion is caring for animals. She and her partner have three rescue dogs, and they are her third and fourth pair of rescues. While she never intended to have four dogs at once, she and her partner quickly became foster failures.
Dr. Reese maintains an active lifestyle, having completed three Ironman Triathlons, including the renowned Hawaii Ironman. While she no longer competes in triathlons, she continues to swim, run, and bike for health and enjoyment. An avid golfer and hiking enthusiast, Dr. Reese loves to spend her vacations communing with nature and practicing photography.
